Jan. ’16. On tap at the brewpub. It poured a hazy amber body with a big head atop. Pleasant cascade aroma, sharp orange with fruits and biscuit malt. Flavor was lightly to moderately bitter, a bit herbal with only a little bit of malt that made thin to medium in body. Still smooth, light, not bothering chalky yeast persists as a trademark of the brewery, judged by the first twoo beers. Finish was longer, dry bitter. As I like to say, simple and effective. Quite a pleasant APA.

0,1l from tap at Craft Bier Fest Wien as "Beaver Brewing Big Lake Pale Ale 5.4%" shared with Saeglopur. orange hazy color, small white head. smells milky, spices, grains, some herbs. smells rather unclean. medium body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes spices, yeast, some grass, light sweetness, a bit soapy, candy. finishes lightly bitter with grass and spicy notes. OKish, both smell and taste have some unclean notes. Overall not very special.

Draught at CBF Wien.
Amber, clear body, with a medium, creamy, off-white head.
Aroma of butter, citrus, orange, grass, some candy.
Tastes of grapefruit, orange, grass, some herbs, some sweet fruits, butter again, honey.
Medium, creamy mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes bitter, zesty, piney, a bit grassy, a bit yeasty.
OK. Unfortunately with some buttery off-notes, especially in the nose. Otherwise quite good, with a nice hop-bite and a piney finish.

Tap at Craft Bier Fest Wien. Not very much going on here flavour-wise. Quite neutral but easy drinking APA.
