Medium light brown color. Medium brown color. Fairly sour nose with excellent Munich malt character. The malt character really shines. Slightly smokey character in the finish. Really well made dunkle.

Oct. ’14. On tap at the brewpub. It poured lightly hazy brown, reddish hued body with medium sized pale brown head. Pleasant caramel, dark fruits and coffee aroma. Flavor was well balanced between toasted and roasted malts, caramel, coffee, brown sugar, dark fruits, even some chocolate towards the end. Medium to full in body with lightly sweet, elegant chocolate and cocoa finish. A very tasty, balanced and pleasant dunkel indeed!

Tap at the brewery. Aroma malty, toasted, caramelly. Clear ruby-dark brown colour. Stable head. Taste is balanced, moderate bitterness, noble hops, moderate toasted, caramel maltiness. Earthy-spicy hoppy finish. Good.

Tap at brewpub. Dark chestnut color with medium white head. Dark malt, caramel in aroma. Taste, dark malt, caramel, light fruitiness. Little bit too much on sweet side for me.

Draught at the brewpub. Dark brown body, with some red reflections and a small, creamy, beige head. Aroma and taste of chocolate, nuts, caramel, roast, bread. Mouthfeel is medium, creamy, with a medium carbonation and it finishes roasty, sweet malty and bready. Not bad, but a bit thin. The nut notes are nice, easy to drink and with a good balance, not too sweet. But I’ve had better Dunkels.
