Die Rezeptur stammt von Axel Kiesbye, Braumeister der Trummer Privatbrauerei und Michael Dihlmann, Mitglied der BierIG Österreich. Die beiden führte in der Obertrumer Kreativbrauerei zahlreiche praktische Vorversuche durch. Brmstr. Peter Krammer, Brauerei Hofstetten, finalisierte in
handwerklicher Qualitätsarbeit das Zusammenspiel des Rezeptes mit den Rohstoffen zu einem perfekten Bier.
Mit im Team und für die Namensgebung verantwortlich ist Dr. Alexander Jäger, Professor für Bio- und Umwelttechnik an der FH Wels.
Somit ist der Sündenbock das erste kommerzielle gebraute Studentenbier, da es die Studenten waren die anfangs dieses Bier jedes Jahr nachgefragt haben. Das Ergebnis ist himmlisch – dezenten. Honigdüfte breiten sich mit einem frischer Hauch von Lemon aus und der Hafer rundet
den Geschmack mit weichen Tönen ab. Nach einem Jahr bilden sich feine fruchtige Sherrynoten aus!

Bottle: Golden, hazy, small and stable white foam, moderate bitter-sweet grainy-dusty nose with herbal hops and traces of honey and fruits; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, medium to full bodied, a bit tart; drier and slightly lingering grainy-bitter finish with a delicate alcohol-burn. Not too glorious...

Bananiger, leicht süßer Beginn. Hell malzig bei eher wässrigem Gesamteindruck, spritzig, süffig. Die Süße steigt an, minimal plastikartiger Hintergrund, der leider zunimmt. Nach wie vor bananig, mittellanger Nachhall. 7/9/9/9/8/9

33cl bottle from trade with Sebilinz, many thanks! Pours hazy light orange golden colour with a mid-sized most good lasting white head. Aroma of strong malt, glue and grains. Taste of strong malt, yeast, ripe fruits, caramel.

Medium gusher. Amber, hazy body, with floating yeast particles and a medium, fluffy, moderately lacing, light beige head.
Aroma of honey, ripe fruits, bread, oat, some berries, flowers, some citrus.
Taste is a bit lighter, with about the same aromas and subtle alcohol.
Medium, creamy mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation.
Finishes medium alcohol warming, quite soft, floral, a bit fruity, with some some grains and lingering honey notes.
Good. Interesting, diverse nose, with a good mix of sweet and fruity notes. Taste is a bit too light for my liking, while still good. Overall it has more character than many other style examples, but still not among the best ones I’ve had.

on tap at Fassldippler. Rating from 4/8/15. light yellow hazy color. small white head. smells quite grainy, bready, light fruity, peach. full body, grainy, medium sweetness, metallic, kinda weird taste, dont like this one, quite average.

Bottle 2010 Jahrgang from hofstetten.at.Golden color with medium white head. Aroma of honey, sweet malt, apples, alcohol. Taste, malt, oatmeal, honey, apples. Light bitterness in sweet finish. Little bit light bodied for an 7,2 % ABV, but overall good beer.

Kindly shared by Stefan at Indslev Bryggeri. Hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma of malt, cereal and apple peel. Sweet malty flavour with alcohol and apple notes.
