11.2oz bottle. The dark, doppelbock version. 8.4% on the bottle. Unfiltered deep brown body. Steady off-white/beige head. Bready, deep malt tones. Some alcohol warmth, but never overbearing, retains a solid balance. Great stuff.

On Tap at Prost! Boise. Cloudy light brown with light tan head. Lots of caramel and light chocolate aromas and flavors. Slightly sweet and delicious.

Draft at PreFunk Nampa. Mahogany pour, mostly clear, ring of head. Malty , nutty aroma folliws through to taste. Rich, earthy. Aroma is nice and strong, wonderful to sniff., Great stuff.o

Leicht trübes goldgelbes Bier mit einer geringen weißen Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr malzig, getreidig. Geschmack sehr malzig, süß, getreidig, kaum hopfig, naja!

16oz pour at Whole Foods Fair Lakes, pours a translucent mahogany with some fading, white head. Nose is interesting, there’s a lot of the expected malt and raisin, toffee, a little yeast, some booze. There’s also something clearly meaty in the nose too. Flavor sticks to the sweet doppel, raisin, toffee, caramel, booze, some dried cherry. Full bodied, sticky finish.

Sampled on draft at Fat Heads this beer poured a dark brown color with orange highlights and a medium sized creamy beige head that left great lacing. The aroma was malty molasses and caramel. The flavor was sweet and malty, molasses, caramel, bread, malted milk and a hint of ripe dark fruits and tobacco. Medium length finish. Moderately full bodied and smooth. Decent.
