Appearance: Slightly misted deep brown with a moderate ivory-coloured head of low to medium retention. Aroma and taste: toasted, somewhat roasted, burnt bread, dried fruits, noble hop, distant smoke. Medium dry. Light plus ending hop bitterness. Mouth feel: Medium minus body, average to lively carbonation. Overall: Not bad.

500 ml bottle. Pitch black with a stable fluffy head. Liquorice, lemon, dark roasted malt, dark bread, nuts. Roasty malty sweetness, dry bitterness. Medium bodied, oily watery texture, soft carbonated, dry citrusy roasty malty finish. Decent Schwarzbier!

Flaske 500ml spandert av Rune. Delt med ham og djoeye i WCveien 7 Sep 16. Mørk amber. Høyt, lett farget skum som daler sakte. Aroma av knekk. Smaken det samme. Blir i søtligste laget.

500ml bottle bought at the tourist information office in Wittenberg last summer. A two-finger thick, off-white head slowly diminishing over a deep mahogany coloured body. Spare lacing. Aroma of dark dough and dried fruits. Rather strong flavour of brittle caramel joined by raisin. Mid-sweet, roasted ending. Medium bodied. Pretty nice (session with Finn and djoeye, Tromsø 07.09.2016).

Klare rötlich braune Farbe, mittelgroße beige schaumkrone. Geruch leicht röstmalzig, nussig, leicht floral hopfig. Geschmack süß malzig, leicht schokoladig, nussig, mild hopfig, okay!

Bottle: Clear, deep chestnut-amber coloured, mid-sized and quite quickly collapsing loose tanned head; sweet roasty nose with traces of burnt malt and mild herbal hops; light to moderate sweetish flavour, very light bodied; traces of cheap (Aldi, Lidl, Netto…) coffee in the always sweet roasty-caramelly finish. Simple and sweet! No pleasure…

Grainy-malty nose, fresh. The beer starts malty-dry. Slightly sourish, easy drinkable with lots of dry roasted malt. Hazelnuts, chestnuts, hints of dry liquorice. The aftertaste is nice dry malty, hints of nuts, roasted malt, nice moderate bitterness. A nice and round Schwarzbier!

(bottle) Clear, dark brown colour with a firm medium-sized tanned foamy head. Mildly roasted and slightly earthy malty aroma with notes of leaves, traces of syrup and chocolate, also traces of rubber. Slightly sweet and delicately sour flavour, rather light bodied with an almost flat carbonation. Slim and slightly roasted malty taste with subtle fruity notes; slightly sweet and sourish finish. Disappointing. 22.VIII.14
