Can. Clear, brown in color with a nice, off-white colored head. Aroma is nutty, malty, sweet smell. Taste is sweet with a wonderful finish.

Can from Jeremy. What an embarrassment. This whole set from Costco is pretty crappy. Dark brown, still light comes through. A bit skunky and stale. Grainy and vegetal. Not great.

16oz can pours out a brown amber topped with a tan head. Nose is sweet malts spice some bread. Taste is more of the sweet malts toast grain.

Can from the Kalea German beer advent calendar. Clear very dark ruby almost black beer. Lasting tan head. Some toast on aroma, some dark malts, reminded me of an English dark mild aorma. Creamy in the mouth. Not much hop at all. But it's a smooth slightly dark fruity dark plum dark cherry, light chocolate. I thought rather pleasant. Good.

500ml can. (5.3% ABV) Pours a clear ruby-brown with a medium, frothy, long lasting, beige head that laces nicely. Sweet aroma of toasted malt, nuts, dark chocolate and caramel. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, dark chocolate, molasses, caramel, nuts and a hint of dark fruit with a metallic finish. Light to medium body with a creamy texture and soft carbonation. Not bad.

Can as Egerer Altbayerisch Dunkel from an Egerer Advent pack from the Woodland CostCo. Pours what looks like brown, but against strong light it’s darkly ruddy copper. Beige head. Wonderful warm roasty malt aroma. And I usually might not like that - but this works. Sort of brown sugar and fruit aspects. Med body. Flavor is dark fruit aspect and roasty malt. Then it seems more brown sugar. It’s not dry, but not sticky sweet either. Moderate mild hops that seem noble. Book, wife, fire, this. Good evening! Oops. Make that: Wife, book ...
