Translates as Divide & Conquer. This beer barrel aged for the good part of a year in a variety of peated whiskey barrels. Among others Port Charlotte and Bruichladdich. We also added the wild yeast Brettanomyces (aka brett) to the barrels to gain it's special effect to the beer.

Bottle split at Columbros Circus, thanks to Tipple, 28/03/18. Black with a decent tan cap that thins to a swirl. Nose is light smoke, dark chocolate, peaty, earthy, dark fruits. Taste comprises chocolate, light black peppery spice, fruit cake, charr, smoke, ashen tones, toffee, umami, light soy. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok stuff.

Bottle shared at DS Office 28/03/18. Many thanks!. A mahognay brown coloured pour with a fading tan head. Aroma is salty, phenolic, tcp ,islay malts, medicinal. Flavour is composed of salted, meaty, smoked malts, phenol, brown malts, toffee. Palate si medium sweet, moderate carbaontion, creamy. Nice.

Bottle shared in Columbus - thanks to Tipple. Pours deep brown with a creamy tan head. Nice peat aroma, baking cocoa, ash. Meidum sweet flavour with loads of peat, earth, ash, burnt brown sugar, burnt toffee. Full bodied, oily and chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, more hearty peat, bitter cocoa, ash, raisins. Tons of fun. Love this stuff.

Bottle at L6. It pours opaque with a small tan head. The aroma is earthy, medicinal, rocky road, funk, wood, smoked peat, dirt and spice. The taste is dry, bitter, earthy, toasted, earth, fruity, jammy, plum, Vimto, cocoa, liquorice, warming alcohol and earth with a slick finish. Medium body and fine, foamy carbonation. Not bad.

Black color, light beige head with short retention. Aroma has light notes of roasted notes, barrel. some wooden hints, peat. Flavor with notes of burnt wood, roasted malts, black chocolate. Light bitterness in the final, some sourness, mouthfeel dominated by peat notes. Nice one.

Bottle. Dark brown color, coffee foam. Aroma: smoked Islay whisky, peat, creosote, a little iodine, caramel, prunes, powerful. Taste: strong, caramel, smoked whisky, slightly cigars ash, peat, a little iodine.

Tasting @ Tim's. Dark pour, almost black, just a little beige foam. Nose is soft and has some leather and belt. That's what is coming from brett? Maybe some peat also there. Taste is not that sweet, barrel is strong, oaky and woody. Relatively good balance, peat and leather coming out also in taste. Medium bodied, alcohol feels lower than it is, interesting barrel character.

Pitch black color. A campfire with brett, super tart and peaty. Fuck. Full body tons of ash, iodine, peat and roasted malt. Nice, not my style with the peatiness.

Zwart bier met schuim. Smaak is vol en romig, zoet, mooi bitter en warm met iets van chokolade, koffie, rum en een lichte rooksmaak. Echt een topbier !
