Translates as Divide & Conquer. This beer barrel aged for the good part of a year in a variety of peated whiskey barrels. Among others Port Charlotte and Bruichladdich. We also added the wild yeast Brettanomyces (aka brett) to the barrels to gain it's special effect to the beer.

Black with thin, creamy head. Intense aroma with smokey whisky, iodine and leather. Also sweet raisins. Flavour has background sharp red fruits. The warming alcohol matches well with rich dried fruits. Also tar-like tobacco and sherry notes followed by more smokey whisky, not too far away from a Talisker.

(330ml bottle from boxbeers.dk) Pours very dark brown to black with a small pale tan head. Notes of heavy wood smoke, soft peat, a hint of barnyard, leather, hay, salt, cured meat, dark bread, caramel, toasted grains, slight chocolate, a little peppery spice, liquorice, a touch of burnt plastic maybe? Balance is light to moderate sweet, lightly roasted and heavily smoky - the Brett seems to play in more with leathery vibes than harsh funk. Fairly light bodied and softly carbonated. I did not like the mashup of smoke and Brett here, which made it difficult to drink.

Bottled 12-01-17. Boozy and thick stout. Very peaty, bitter, a bit of saltyness, super dark chocolate and some wood. Subtly bretted, just some goat in the background, tiny hint of sourness. Complex, balanced, smooth and lovely drinking.

Bottle, 0.50l. Aroma of roasted malt, smoke, leather, dried fruit and brett. Pours pitch black color with thin creamy light brown head and nice lacing. Taste starts with medium sweet but rich roasted malt and coffee, follows by bitter chocolate, licorice, wood and leather, mouthfeel is warming, umami and mild spicy, while finish is medium grassy bitter. Full body, creamy texture and average carbonation in palate. Conquering beer...
