Translates as Divide & Conquer. This beer barrel aged for the good part of a year in a variety of peated whiskey barrels. Among others Port Charlotte and Bruichladdich. We also added the wild yeast Brettanomyces (aka brett) to the barrels to gain it's special effect to the beer.

Bottle at home, 2nd September 17. pours black, little carbonation or head. Aroma is classic De Molen, barrel, liquirce, liquor, cocoa, dark chocolate. Taste is dry, barrel, oak, liquirce, liquor, slight Brett, I expected more, dry delicious bitter, liquor finish. Fantastic, love De Molen Impys.

At a tasting, thanks, small bubbly creamy head, opaque black color, aroma of peat and tasted bread, a bretty smoke blend and a hint of chocolate in the back, flavor of ash, peat, chocolate and soy, mellow and amazingly integrated. Excellent.

Bottle shared at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks Rasmus40 for this bottle! Black with a tan head. Aroma of peat, roast, coffee, wood, chocolate, some dark fruits, a bit of brett, a bit of soy sauce. Flavor is a bit sourish, with brett, chocolate, coffee, some umami, peat, wpod, roast, dark fruits, caramel, a bit of ash. Full-bodied, rounded. Great and complex.

Bottle @home. Black colour with a small to medium sized light brown head. Smells peat, coffee, roasty, oak, fingerpaint. Tastes roasty, peat, earthy, sweet, coffee, chocolate. Pretty spot on with the amount of peatyness. Very wel balanced. Full body, soft carbo.
