Appearance: Brown colour with a tan head.
Aroma: Malt, caramel, grain, bread.
Body: Medium body and carbonation.
Flavour: Roasted malt, caramel, hops.

--Bottled, from Landbierparadies, Nuremberg. -- Clear brownish amber, small head. Bready nose. Mid sweet with light to medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Toast, grain and spicy hops. Quite bitter finish.

500ml Bottle - Dark amber/light copper in colour. Dried fruit, malt and some faint hints of spice and marzipan. Fruity and slightly sweet taste with notes of dried fruit, nuts and hints of chocolate and roasted malt.

“Bruckberger Dorn-Bräu Dunkel“, Flasche (50 cl) von Fristo, Ansbach. - Kupferrotbraun, klar. - In der Nase vornehmes, tiefes dunkles Malz, Röstbrot, Karamel, ein wenig Holz und milde moosig-erdige Hopfenherbe. - Antrunk schön röstig dunkelmalzig mit gediegener Kakaobittere. Zarte zitrusfruchtige Hopfenherbe setzt einen gekonnten Kontrast. Mild rezent, vollmundig, zart mineralisch, leicht trocken. Im Abgang milde aber gediegene, zart moosige Hopfenherbe und Malzbittere. - Sehr schönes, rundes Dunkles, komponiert aus allerbesten herkömmlichen Aromen. Hervorragend! (27.5.2018.)

Malziger, trocken röstig-schokoladiger Antrunk. Geringe konstante Herbe, sehr süffig, Karamell. Steigende Intensität zum Ende. 10/9/9/10/10/10

50cl bottle. Pours clear orange brown colour with a mid-sized most good lasting beige head. Aroma of mild roasted malt and a lot of nuts. Taste of roasted malt, nuts, caramel, good Dunkel!

*Old rating, best before 21.09.04. Malzig-mildes Dunkel. Nicht zu herb, süßlich-mild, leicht trockene röstige Noten. Lecker.

Bottle. Cloudy orange-brown, offwhite head. Roast and herb aroma (junipers). Burned sugar/caramel, chocolate notes, good light citric grassy hop balance. Chewy medium body. Chocolate aftertaste, hops retronasal. Somewhere between a Fullbodied dunkel and a Alt, quite nice.

Pours amber brown with a minimal head. Aroma: nutty, malty, caramel, and bread. Tastes fairly sweet with low bitterness and a little sour bite.
