Botella 33 cl en el Kraken 21..07..2018. (r11). Lote L1808. Fcpref 12..2018. Color ámbar marrón oscuro muy turbio con espuma blanca persistente. Sabores maltosos y suaves cereales con toques herbáceos maduros, ligeros afrutados tropicales que se dejan notar sobretodo al final cuando casi está a temperatura ambiente. Suaves especiados. Cuerpo medio algo pastoso y espumoso con buena densidad, sensación alcohólica contenida. Bastante buena. Para repetir.

Bottle. Unfortunately there is medium-strength sourness throughout the beer, aroma to finish. High bitterness underneath, along with juicy tangerine citrusy hops flavours. Pity about the sourness, but with BBD 10/2017 and storage in refrigerator this could not be my fault.

Many thanks to Erzengel for sharing! Pours hazy deep amber colour with a mid-sized to small off-white head. Aroma of intense bitter hops, spruce, resins, some herbs. Taste of quite bitter floral hops, herbs, spruce, some caramel, nice!

Many thanks to Taboada for this bottle! Fresh malty floral brew. Moderate smooth floral, moderate sweetish. Nice dry, moderate piney with a grainy dry malty body. Fresh and mild floral with not too much sweetness.

Re-rating (previous 5.8). Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 22A). Bottle 33 cl - batch L2004 (BBF NOV20). AROMA: medium to medium-high hop notes with touches of grapefruit, pine and slight melon. medium malty background with a sweet character but relatively neutral. faint oxidation notes starting to show (hay and very faint isovaleric). APPEARANCE: light amber color and clear. medium off-white head head, creamy, with good retention. lace formation. TASTE: initial medium hop notes (pine) followed by a low fruity character (ripe melon-like). neutral-sweet malt background in balance with a high bitterness. faint cereal husk in the background. finishes dry and very bitter. PALATE: medium to medium-high body with average carbonation and no astringency. OVERALL: a double IPA with good malt character but with hops already starting to fade.
