Ale with Strawberries, Honey, and White Pepper Aged in Wine Barrels
Inspired by an amuse bouche often prepared by the wife of one of our brewers, Scully brings white pepper, strawberry, and honey to a harmonious blend of “mouth amusement”. The ingredients are added at different stages to a Saison, and fermented with a normal Belgian yeast as well as a Champagne yeast.

Cheers Mike for bringing this 765ml bottle to the Shrewsbury Beer Exchange Group meeting on 29th May 2018; I really enjoyed this beer. Hazy golden pour, white pillow on top. Yeasty off-notes in the fruity nose, taste also 'on the turn' semi-sour like and fruity. Not usually a fan of this kind of style/beer but I was impressed with this brew.

75cl bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, May 18, thanks to Mike for this! Pours a misty gold, white head, aroma is bretty, spicy, taste presents an interesting bretty wild character with fascinating fruity moments that introduce subtle strawberry hints. Comes together quite well. Very enjoyable.

Keg at six degrees north Edinburgh. Pours golden orange, nose is raspberry, oak, funk, taste is tart fruit, funky, oak, sweet.

On Tap at PreFunk Boise Hazy dull peach light tan color. full lasting off white head. Musty and earthy fruitiness. A light sour touch and some bready wheaty notes at the end.

Draft. Straw beer with a whitish head. Yeast and malt aroma with light Brett. Yeast and tart flavor with light Brett. Medium bodied. Malt and Brett lingers with light yeast.
