A strong Tripel beer inspired by the 1933 classic King Kong. As a little treat for the 8th wonder of the world, we added a crate of coconut. The taste of wild banana was created by fermentation at high temperature. A beer with a roar. But remember: many good men have challenged King Kong, none stood to tell the story.

Bottle at home. Aroma is banana, yeast, vegetables, sugar. Flavour is medium sugary sweetness. Body is medium. Plenty of banana but hardly any coconut, way too sweetish and I don’t like the veggie notes. No, not a beer worthy of the king of apes.

Bottle. Somewhat unclear amber with a white head. Shyish aroma is bready with some toast and grain. I guess the coconut is there but I probably wouldn't have picked it if I didn't know. Some herbs. Medium to full bodied. Malty, doughy as well as bready with little fruit and somewhat crude spicy bitterness. After it a while it dries out a little. Alcohol is obvious but not hot. Cheerful enough.

Bottle. Amber color, no head. Malt, caramel and banana in the aroma and flavor. Sweet, cocos, citrus. Very low on carbon. Decent, but certainly not flawless.

330ml bottle. Hazy, orangey, dark golden to amber colour with average, foamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Slightly yeasty fruity and sweet-ish, bready malty aroma, hints of peach, apricot, mirabelle jelly, cautious coconut overtones. Taste is sweet-ish malty, yeasty fruity, hints of peach, apricot, mirabelle jelly, slightly dry, nutty overtones with a coconut touch; minimally warming, alcoholic finish. The composition is quite OK, but all flavours come along in restricted if not weak fashion.

F: huge, white, long lasting. C: deep gold, hazy with yeasty veils. A: mellow fruity, bit sweet coconut but more like artificial, bit peach, quite yeasty. T: mellow fruity, bit too boozy from the beginning, honey, coconut is quite lost somewhere, almost like vinous feeling, very sweet for me with yeasty tones also, medium to full body, high disturbing carbonation, drinkable, 33cl bottle from Beerwulf webshop.
