Dark brown, big plum fruity nose, soft, sweet and very fruity. Raisins and plums and black sugar...this really comes across more like old ale meets foreign stout than an imperial stout, but no worries it’s good stuff.

330mL can, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out gentle barley malt, with very dry cocoa, and some earthy notes. Flavour is very dry, with lots of roasted malt, a hint of cocoa, earthy notes, and plenty of bitterness. I like the dryness and bitterness. It's not a massive body, but it's pretty solid.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a pitch black color with a medium beige head. A big roast and cocoa nose. Rich, fairly dry, heavy roast, licorice, cocoa. Very smooth. Great.

pitch black color. Big espresso notes with some molasses and dark fruit. Low carbonation big espresso notes with molasses and surprisingly citrus character. Smooth, alcohol well hidden with a touch warming finish, not overly acidic. Not massively complex but really enjoyable brew. The impy that you drink pints of over a night. Not overly bitter, but also a cross impy and black ipa. Enjoyable

Many thanks to Vincent (nerdboy19) for bringing this bottle to Europe! PET bottle filled at the brewpub. Very dark chocolate nose with sweetish hints. The beer starts fresh and round, moderate sweetish but intense chocolate with a smooth and roasted espresso body. Smooth and long-lasting, very easy to drink at this ABV, lots of smooth woody roast in the aftertaste. The dark chocolate / espresso is very round and smooth, voluminous, rich and intense with a moderate hop bitterness. Long smooth sticky aftertaste. A great brew!
