440ml can from Mad Squirrel, High Wycombe. Poured a clear light amber colour with a lasting frothy white head and plenty of bubbles. The aroma is malt, light citrus notes, light woody hops. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a smooth, fresh, malt, light biscuit, light sweet fruit, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. One of the best English bitters I ever had.

Can thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - golden amber. Light white lacing. Nose - bread and subtle orange. Taste - orange more pronounced this time. Still a bit of brown bread. Palate - light bodied, bitter finish. Overall - decent journey on the palate. No particular high notes though.

Bottle at home picked up from the brewery in Hemel. A dull amber coloured pour with a thin greyish head. Aroma is nutty malts, light toffee, vanilla, sweet brown bread. Flavour is composed of chalky, nutty malts, thin grains, little toffee, little apple, thin brown bread. Palate is thin, grainy, moderate carbonation. Pretty lacklustre.

Bottle at home, 29/05/17. Clear golden to light copper with a well appointed off white head with excellent retention. Pour was very lively with a slow trace of foam coming out of the bottle a minute or so later. Nose is light biscuit crumble, faint citric rinds, toasted grains, straw. Taste comprises pale bread, sharp fruit esters, toasted grains, biscuit, grass. Medium bodied, prickly and overcarbed, drying close with an astringent bitter finish. Sub par.

Many thanks to Erzengel for sharing! Pours clear copper brown colour with a mid-sized to small off-white head. Aroma of bitter hops, spruce, red malt. Taste of red malt, spruce, bitter hops, nuts in the background, good one!
