50cl swing top bottle. Pours slightly hazy golden colour with a small white head. Aroma of mild grainy malt, grassy hops, not too bitter. Taste of grassy bitter hops, a bit grainy, floral soft spicy hops, overall okay!

Keg at the brauhaus, 07/02/15. Lightly hazed golden with a decent off white head. Nose is pale malts, straw, fresh and clean, cereal notes. Taste comprises light citric shreds, grassy, lemon rind, faint vegetal tones. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok.

(swing top bottle) Cloudy, pale golden colour with a thick and lacey foamy white head. Yeasty and moderately sweet malty and slightly grainy aroma with grassy and slightly citric hops. Light-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a slightly fizzy carbonation. Pale malty, slightly yeasty and grainy taste with notes of sour dough; moderately dry, slightly bitter and minimal sour doughy finish with a tinge of citrus and grassy hops. Refreshing but not an overly great Zwickel-Pils. 29.VII.09

Bügelverschlußflasche (mit besonderem Dank an Stefan!):Pale golden, hazy, smaller - stable&lacy white head; grainy-fruity nose with a herbal hoppy background; light to moderate sweet-bitter flavour, quite soft, light bodied; slightly lingering, a bit drier, bitter-sweet finish with some fruity influences. The right stuff........

bottle, bought at a shop near the brewery. It was quite difficult to get this beer. The castle brewery of Aulendorf reopened in autumn 2008. Ocassionaly the beer is available in bottles, which sell out very quickly. Reibolf, read from the back, reads "Flobier" (the name of the brewer is Florian, so this means Florian’s beer). Hazy orangey-yellow colour with a large off-white head. Fruity-malty nose, quite intensive. Malty with a fruity touch (citrus fruti and tropical fruit) and some herbal hop flavours. Rather lively carbonation.
