Bottle. A dense, finger-thick white head forms over a lightly hazy golden body. Some curtains. The aroma is lightly funky, with mandarin and some lemon notes. Lightly peppery. It’s medium bodied, dry and nicely carbonated, with flavors of lemon, grapefruit and some funky notes. Pepper hints, barnyard and a nice bitterness. Lasting funky, bitter and citrusy finish. Refreshing and really tasteful this one. Wouldn’t mind repeating it. 160213

Bottle @ home, shared with LeninCat. May 2015 bottle. Hazy, golden orange appearance with a somewhat thin, cream-colored head. Not as much fruit in the aroma as some in the series. It is fairly floral with notes of potpourri and lilies. Hint of funk in the aroma. The flavor is also floral and quite dry. Grassy and herbal. Light fruit. A little soda-like. Finishes dry. Pretty good but I prefer the versions with a little more fruit.

Bottle, 0.375l, shared with Saska and Hoppiness crew. Pours murky orange golden color with thin soapy white head, nice lacing and sparkling appearance. Aroma of citrus, wheat, brett and spices. Taste starts light sweet and sour grainy, follows by tart citrus, fruity esters and mild funky, mouthfeel is crisp and a bit dry, while finish is mild bitter. Medium body, thin texture and lively carbonation in palate. Another crooked excellence...
