Appearance: Dark brown, hint of red. Clear. Some light tan head. Aroma: Red fruits, berries. Slight dark malt? Taste: Fruits, berries, some wet wood and malt. Tangy. Strange. Bought: At brew pub (Ottobeuren), 100 ml draft, €1.20 Info: 11/8-2018

Tasting tray at Ottobeurer. Amber, clear with a offwhite head. Hint of dark berries, and malt. Sweet, light bitter with a sweet malt end.

50cl bottle. Pours clear reddish brown colour with a huge most good lasting beige head. Aroma of caramelish malt, dark malt, raisins. Taste of reddish/dark malt, caramel, spices and spruce. good!

Many thanks for this beer to Beerhunter111. Pours a dark ruby brown color with bigger lasting head. Malt, roasted,caramel and alight fruity aroma. Nicely balanced ,

Vom Faß im Brauerei-Hotel Hirsch, Ottobeuren. - Tiefes Rotbraun, leicht trüb, sahniger beigefarbener Schaum. - In der Nase Röstmalz und zarte Hopfenspitzen. - Schön sahniger Antrunk, karamellig und röstmalzig. Mild rezent, weiches Mundgefühl. Deutlich röstmalzbitterer, leicht hopfenaromatisch-erdiger Abgang mit Mokkanoten. Mäßig bitterer Nachtrunk. - Sehr süffig und frisch. Ein mildes, aber - durch den Verzicht auf Filtration - sehr aromatisches Dunkles.
