RyeØ is an intense rye wine, aged in freshly emptied rye whiskey barrels for 9 months. After the aging process, we hand-bottle and condition it with fresh batch of bourbon yeast for a second fermentation. We let the complex rye, oak and malt flavors marry over time and gain complexity. This is a labor, time and ingredient-intensive process, which means we can only make this special beer once in a while, when all the stars align. Individually numbered bottles will be available on a limited edition basis. Enjoy it now or store in your cellar for an extended period of time.

750mL bottle, pours a cloudy dirty orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of spicy, earthy rye, with plenty of bourbon, caramel, and toffee. Flavour is more expressive on the rye, with bourbon to follow, and then caramel. Nicely barreled, with impressive balance. Excellent.

Taster on Black Christmas #7. Appearance: hazy copper, no head. Aroma: oxidized, caramel, some fruits and booze. Taste: along the same lines. Overall: ok.

Bottle from Brewcraft at home on Valentine’s 2019. Deep dark caramel brown pour - translucent. Dissipating thin white sudsy head. Aroma is caramel, bourbon/rye oak and sharp alcohol, vanilla, round maltiness. Like a rich scotch ale, and not overly sweet in the aroma. Taste is big sweet caramel toffee malt, sharp booziness, a bit less interesting than aroma. Spicy finish with alcohol warmth. Palate is rich and smooth but not treacly. Very nice. Nothing like I was imagining, which was more of a sweet barleywine, this is much more drinkable. Really nice aroma. Would get again next year.

Vielen Dank an Erzengel. Schwerer, würzig getreidiger Antrunk. Mild alkoholische Getreidenoten, cremig, weich, komplex getreidig-kräutrig, unterstützende Holznoten, die sich nicht in den Vordergrund drängen. Insgesamt aber trotzdem unsüffig, schwer, vollmundig, etwas Bourbon. Schwieriges aber gelungenes Produkt. 9/12/8/12/11/12

Bottle brought back from HK. Fantastic smooth grainy beginning. Lots of toffee and rye, deep and rich with molasses and caramel in the aftertaste. Fantastic.

Bottle shared with Erzengel! A clear orange brown colour, small beige head. Aroma of red fruits, riped fruits, vanilla, oak. Taste of riped red fruits, red malt, berries, rye, oak, nice!
