Grainy smooth beginning. Dark sweetish, not much bitterness, round and refreshing with a nice dark roasted aftertaste. Sessionable, quite dry and nice for this ABV.

Deep dark brown colour, small frothy tan head. Strong treacle nose, aroma roasted malts, treacle, liquorice, alcohol. Taste light heavy sweet, slightly bitter, watery mouthfeel, caramel, candy sugar, liquorice. Sugary sweetbitter aftertaste, burnt caramel, liquorice, alcohol; medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation, so so.

330ml can. Pours red-brown with a small foamy head. Aroma is not like any stout (foreign or otherwise) that I have tried. It smells more like a strong lager, malty with notes of port and dark fruits. Taste follows the aroma: sweet, port-like and slightly boozy. A one-time beer... which I have another can of.

Bottle (thanks friends for sharing). Aroma: berries, fruits and wine like porto 777. Taste: cheap porto, a little alcoholized, malty, but overall not bad.
