Bottle at the brewery. Nice musty grape smell. Dry and fruity. Light sourness. Bit of barrel in there. Feels full bodied. Gets richer further down. Flaska på Moeder Lambic Orginal. Funkig och druvig karaktär och lite mer kolsyra. Lätt med smak av druvjuice och bäriga rödblå druvor. Mycket gott.

A glass at Bells and Whistles shared with Matt. Pours a hazy purple with a rose head. Aroma is funky with barnyard and semi-sweet grape notes. Taste is similar, quite dry, tannins, lots of dry grape notes. Nice.

Draught, Bells & Whistles. Has a gorgeous purple colour, with a pink-purple head. On the nose, the base contributes a lot of leather, tannin, and a bit of armpit, but then there's a deep grapey fruit character as well. On the palate, the fruit is quite prominent - a deep, juicy, bold grape character. This is balanced by the dry, leathery lambic that finish with a moderate tartness (especially for Cantillon), abundant wood. This is one of the best-balanced Cantillons, and has a really impresive depth of flavour. Wow. Just excellent. I love that sweetness in the finish, but also that it still leaves the leathery dryness intact.

On tap. Pours a garnet red with moderate pinkish head. Aromas of Cantillon barnyard, sulphury/musty grapes and wheat. Flavors of earthy red grapes, vinous wet oak, tart black cherries, and wheaty malts. Quite nice.

On tap at Bells & Whistles, pours a deep dark pink with a medium pink head. Aroma brings out that wonderful barnyard funk character upfront, with heaps of lightly tart grapes, and light leather. Flavour follows as one would expect, with a lovely tart, dry grape skins character, with moderate mustiness, and loads of barnyard funk. Not overly tart, nor acidic; just a perfect blend of lightly tart, dry potent grapes, and barnyard funk. Lovely stuff.
