Apple Brandy Barrel Noir is an imperial stout we age in apple brandy barrels. The beer has major notes of chocolate, coffee, apple, and vanilla in the flavor and aroma. The stout is thick and slightly sweet, making for a smooth, slow sipping beer. Enjoy now, or lay a few down to try it with some age on it.

12oz bottle at home. black color, very small dark coffee-colored head. smells of alcohol, sherry, liqueur, apples, nutty, marzipan, bit glueish, light sweetness. didnt like the smell at first, but after a couple minutes of breathing its very very nice. full body, light carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of licorice, marzipan, nutty, vanilla, lightly liqueurish, light dried fruits, some wood, light sweetness, lightly boozy. finishes lightly sweet with notes of nuts, marzipan, liqueur and apples brandy notes. very very nice beer, a bit on the boozy side (usually not a fan), but its not distracting at all on this one. very nice balance of flavours. love it.

Bottle shared at Himmeriget, Copenhagen - black pour with thin tan head. Sweet malty with notes of decadent chocolate, caramel, rich toffee apple coming through, apple brandy infused wooden nuances going on, rich resonating sweet malty into the finish. Gorgeous.

Black color, almost no head. Deep aroma, dark chocolate, brandy, spirit. Thick body; wonderful flavor of chocolate with hints of vanilla, amaretto, tobacco, and also lingering fruitiness, sign of a fruit distillate. Warming alcohol in the final.
Excellent.
