330ml bottle. Darkest brown colour with minimal ruby glimmer and average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Relatively weak, roasty dark malty and slightly fruity hoppy aroma, hints of cocoa and dark chocolate, a touch of cherry and red berries. Taste is dry, slightly bitter and minimally sweet, roasty dark malty and slightly fruity hoppy, hints of dark chocolate, cocoa, cherry, red berries; minimally woody, dry finish. Watery texture, somehow metallic, repellent palate, fine, prickly carbonation. Not overly dry; the chocolately flavours in combination with the slightly sweet fruitiness remind of Schwarzwälderkirschtorte or, at least, kirschwasser-impregnated chocolate biscuit without the cream. Nice.

0,33 l bottle, labeled with 7.7% abv. Nearly black in the glass with a more than two finger beige head. Choco roasted malty smell. Tastes also with choco and roasted malt, some fruity elements with sweetness. Low carbonated. Smooth, not as dry as expected. Nice.

Draught, 6.2% at the brewpub. Roasted aroma, hint of slightly sweet liquorice. Black colour. Seems unclear with a reddish shine. Stable medium-sized tan head. The flavour starts off roasted but turns surprisingly creamy and slightly sweet. Full mouthfeel, especially for the style. Not thin like most dry stouts. So, not to style, but good.

Schokoladig herber, angenehm würziger Antrunk. Konstant bleibend, vollmundig malzig, erst spät trocken werdend. Frisch, unterstützend bitter. Gut. 12/10/11/11//11

Sampled @CRAFT Frankfurt 2018. A dark brown beer with a small beige head. Aroma of mild roasted dark malt, cookies, chocolate. Taste of mild roasted malt, nuts, cookies. Nice.
