500ml bottle. Clear, chestnut colour with wonderful ruby shimmer and average, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Weak, minimally toasty, dark malty aroma, a touch of malt lozenge, chocolate, caramel. Taste is slightly toasty and nutty, dark malty, slightly bitter hoppy with a minimally metallic touch, hints of malt lozenge, chocolate, caramel, subtle residual sweetness. Watery texture, smooth and soft, minimally repellent palate, fine, mildly prickly carbonation. Rather cautious, a bit simple - OK.

Wurm Bier Vollbier dunkel, Flasche von Landbierparadies24. - Sehr dunkles Kastanienbraun, klar. - In der Nase intensives, tiefes dunkles Malz mit Vollkornbrot, dezente Bitterschokolade, milde herbale Hopfung. - Antrunk tief dunkelmalzig, wenig süß, blaß kaffeebitter. Unauffällige doch gediegene hopfenwürzige Herbe. Milder rezent, schlank.

Weich dunkler Antrunk, wenig schokoladig. Vollmundig, besonders zum Ende aber zu trocken. Daher im Nachgeschmack auch dumpf. 12/12/8/9/11/9

Bottle (purchased at the brewery): Chestnut-amber coloured, small off-white head with a little lace; almost not sweetish, mainly coffeeish and a bit sourish nose; moderate sweet, slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; short sweetish-bitter finish with toasted-malty and coffeeish traces. Not unpleasant, but a quite inoffensive Dunkel.........

(bottle) Clear, dark brown colour with a medium-sized, off-white foamy head. Sweet roast-malty, slightly ashy and leafy aroma with caramel, coffee and subtle dark berry-fruity notes. Slightly bitter flavour; light to medium bodied, soft on carbon. Roast-malty, leafy taste with light notes of caramel and dried berries; moderately dry, slightly bitter and roasty finish with delicate hoppy accents and a minimal sourish fruity aftertaste. Balanced and likeable Dunkel (08.05.08).
