An imperial stout first brewed in 2015 by Fyne Ales who collaborated with Brouwerij De Molen in the Netherlands. The response was so successful that this beer has been made a permanent addition to Fyne's range. Mills & Hills is a rich, malty stout with lots of treacle and chocolate characters. This complex combination of malts and hops creates a full flavoured beer which is perfect for cold, wintry nights.

Bottle from Wine & Cheese. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of peat, darkish fruits and dark sugar. Near full body. Flavor is very peaty, with treacle and some hops that are hard to parse. Gets slightly earthy chocolate to go with the peat. Finishes surprisingly dry and earthy bitter. Really nice flavors.

Bottle from a trade with Werckmeister, many thanks! Beautiful pitch black color with fine-bubbled beige head. Aroma is black chocolate, wood, not even that much coffee yet but it?s definitely present. No vanilla sweetness. Taste is black chocolate, and milk chocolate (lacto?), raisins, and coffee. Espresso aftertaste. Silky mouthfeel. Very good ImpStout!

33cl bottle. Pitch black pour with a perfect espresso head. Smells of roasted malts, dark cherries, dark chocolate, coffee and a bit of barrel sourness. Bitter-sweet, robust and refreshing due to the pine hops, full bodied with a bit of carbonation, with notes of espresso, dark chocolate, cherries, cocoa and wine barrel. An excellent imperial stout.

Bottle, 0.33l. Pours pitch black with thick soapy light brown head and fair lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate, wood, herbs and flowers. Taste starts with sweet and rich roasted malt, dark chocolate and coffee, follows by dried fruits and herbal acidity, mouthfeel is warming and moderate spicy, while finish is moderate bitter. Full body, syrupy texture and average carbonation in palate. Very Fyne Scotch imperial stout...
