Oktoberfest

Can. Caramel malt and weedy hay aroma. Amber with moderate head. Moderately sweet caramel malt and moderately bitter weed/hay flavor. Good body. Nice solid Festbier.

Can 12fl.oz. @ home. [ As Revolution Oktoberfest Revolution ].[ Courtesy of Redmuller by Serge ]. Clear medium amber orange colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, straw, dusty, husks - chaff (agner). Flavor is moderate sweet and light light bitter with a average duration, dusty, husks - chaff (agner), pale malt, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20171105] 6-3-7-3-13

Can: Clear amber with a tall, yellowish-beige head. Caramel, honey aroma. Taste is sweet and light, caramel malt, a bit of fruit and toasted malt. Not bad.....like an Oktoberfest Lite, though.

Can. Deep golden/light amber body. Frothy white head, slowly diminishing. Aroma of toasted grain, caramel, light earthiness, bread. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/syrupy texture, lively carbonation. Sweet malts to start with yeasty (dough), grainy finish.

Pours clear gold into a shaker. White head with medium retention recedes to nothing. Caramel and toast aromas. Soft with sweet toffee upfront turning to mild bitter twigs in the dry, lasting finish.

12 oz. can. Enjoyed while not watching the Bears getting skunked again. Noting the use of all German hops (Magnum and Hersbruker). Pours an amber Oktoberfest color, with more of an eggshell colors head. Malty caramel smell of Vienna and crystal malt fits right in with the profile. Taste too is malty. Would be a great reminder of autumn, but it's 81° outside as I'm writing this. I can only console myself that it's better to have here then sweating with a $10 glass of beer at the Oktoberfest celebration down the block. The can is only six weeks old, but it's already going a bit phenolic. Maybe owed to a long lagering. Still, there are some hops there for more of an English earthy taste. I just find myself needing to re-attune to malty fall beers after wrecking myself with hoppy beers all summer.

Tap at not sure where I am. Fine copper pour. Nose is faint caramel and toasted malt. Tastes of toast, malt, caramel, earth, hint of currants, some sweet Apple to finish. Fine for style

Nice head, but more of an amber rather than traditional red (personally for this kind of beer, I prefer traditional). Aroma is caramel malt and hints of toast and hops. Flavor’s similar to nose, on sweet side, good carbonation. Body’s a bit thin. Good enough finish. An ok Okfest.

Draft at Dark Horse, 11/17/15. Great win by my Terps! Clear orange color without much head or lace. Nice malty presence on a small hop note. Average carbonation. Solid beer.
