Aroma of citrus, pale malt, some yeast, hops. Flavour is potent and long bitterness. Wow, nice refreshing bitter Pale Lager, I wish stuff like this was more typical for the style.

* Rating overgezet uit 2016* Het is een goudgeel bier met een wit schuim. Het heeft een moutige licht hoppige geur. De smaak is moutig en bitter.

Bottle. Blonde. Floral soft herbal aroma with urine notes. Soft vinegarry grassy herbal hopbitter flavor, without being sour. Thin. Vegetable notes. Somewhat disappointing.

Many thanks to Beerhunter111 for sharing. The beer starts fresh and fruity. Nice and round with floral fruity bitter hints. The body is light and highly drinkable, so that the intense and fruity hops are nice and present. Grassy bitter with a nice fresh and floral aroma. Nice stuff!

Lager beer from Ramses, from tap at Arendsnest. Off-white, coarse, irregular head leaving refined cobweb-structured lacing; lightly hazy golden blonde colour, bit ’metallic’ with a slight greenish hue. Aroma is full of earthy, leafy and grassy hops, red apple peel, light sweaty grains, corn, honeyish malt touch. Crisp onset, no esters but a certain malt fruitiness, corn presence as in a cheap pale lager, grainy, medium body with light metallic accent, but ending in a far less trivial finish of grassy, herbal, spicy and even somewhat resiny hop bitterness. Apparently intended as a pimped ’Mexican lager’, a Corona with a real hop profile, so to speak; if it weren’t for the corn, I’d classify this as a classic Pilsener rather than a pale lager. This kind of experiments show how litterally every beer style in existence can be tackled by craft brewers - I’m beginning to wonder when the first tequila-flavoured pale lager in craft beer form reaches me...

Sampled draft @ Arendsnest during Carnivale Brettanomyces #4. Pale golde, creamy white. Odd mineral nose, light salt, grainy,… Taste is mineral, lager, grass, malty, interesting, floral,… Light grainy body,… Some interesting mineral notes here,… Not overly stellar but some interesting notes, spectacular compared to other pale lagers, not sure if that is the right category,… Maybe Zwickle or IPL? (Thanks for sharing Kermis, Maakun & tlahav).
