Bottle. Black, tiny beige head. Roasted aroma, light coffee notes. Sweetish flavour, bitter roasted malt, chocolate, light coffee, sweet licorice and a spicy note in the finish. Low carbonation, light alc warmth. Nicely drinkable.

330ml bottle. Jet black colour with huge, thick, creamy, moderately lasting, superbly lacing, brown head. Roasty, chocolately, dark malty aroma, dusty hints of shortbread, some coffee, toffee, hazelnut infused white coffee, fruity overtones of plum butter and blueberry, morello, floral honey ovetones. Taste is sweet, dark malty, chocolately, notes of malt lozenge, toffee, coffee, plum butter, blueberry, morello, a floral honey touch; minimally alcoholic-fruity finish. Creamy texture, smooh, soft and creamy palate. Dangerously drinkable.

Draught at Alles Elbe. Roasted aroma, perhaps coffee. Hint of fruit. Black colour. Big stable light brown head. The flavour is sweet and quite roasted. Lots of raw liquorice, but with a syrupy sweetness to balance. Sort of spicy finish.

Great Strong and complex, the bitterness is nicely in balance and the roast is strong. Note of dark cherry on the nose make this one stand out. Alles Elbe Hamburg
