Bottle, 7.5%. Good malty aroma. Clear dark brown colour. Small off-white head. The flavour is very malty and slightly bready. Mild alcohol bitterness, but that suits the beer well enough.

Bottle. Pours hazy copper brown with airy beige head. Clear aroma of malt, caramel and yeast, with touches of hops. Sweetish flavour of caramel malt and yeast, with hoppy and roasty notes and touches of nuts. Roasty and caramellish aftertaste with estery notes. Okay but quite sweet.

0,33 l swing top bottle from kappldav123. Thanks a lot! Clear red brown in the glass with an one finger pale beige head. Smells sweet malty. Taste is also sweet malty, increasing alcoholic. Low dark fruity background. Alcoholic bitterness in the aftertaste. Nice stuff.

Many thanks to Erzengel for sharing! A clear reddish brown beer with a mid-sized good lasting off-white head. Aroma of strong red malt, moderate sweet red fruits, caramel. Taste of strong moderate sweet caramelish malt, some nuts. Good Doppelbock!

Bottle from a local supermarket. Looks really good. Beer in the glass dark brown, nice head. Fine malty aroma with caramel hints. Starts fine malty, not as strong as exspected, light sweetish with woody hints. Also some caramel notes. Finish a bit drier, still well balanced. Quite drinkable for a doppelbock. Not bad.

Clear amber, frothy offwhite head. Caramel aroma with a light, malty fruitiness. Rather light flavour, malt and caramel ending in a not particularly well balanced, slightly rough bitterness.

* Old rating, 0,33l crown-top bottle, best before 3.03. Recht malzig-süßes Bier mit deutlich alkoholischer Note. Die malzige Süße hält sich lange auf der Zunge. Nicht zu tief.

Bottle. Sweet cherry/raisin malt and moderate astringent aroma. Light amber color with minimal head. Lightly sweet toffee malt flavor with mild astringent finish. Easy drinking - pretty mild for a doppelbock.

(Bottle 33 cl) Clear, deep golden - rather atypical for the style - with a small, rough, white head. Malty, lightly alcoholic nose. Quite full-bodied with lots of solid malts and a whiff of caramel. Some burning alcohol in the finish. Plain but solid. 280507
