Amber colored Saison, produced in collaboration with Muscovite brewery Zagovor , and loosely based on Kvas, a traditional Russian drink obtained from the natural fermentation of bread and fruit. The abundant use of rye gives it a distinctly malty and spicy profile, softened by the sweetness of the raisins added in fermentation.

33cl bottle. A clear reddish brown beer with a mid-sized beige head. Aroma of sweet red fruis, sweet toffee. Taste of sweet caramelish malt, sugar, brown malt, red fruits, interesting but a bit too sweet.

Süß-metallerner, herb brotiger Beginn. Mild herb bleibend, steigend schokoladig, recht süffig. Brotig herber Mittelteil, mild malzig, erfrischend. Kurzer Nachhall. 10/9/10/9/8/9

Bottle at the guest rooms in Roma. Sourced via Les Vignerons. Pours mostly clear amber-brown with a tight, creamy khaki head. Nice aroma with subtle saison yeast, dried fruits, toasted wheat and hints of cocoa. Light-medium sweet flavour with more toasted wheat bread, background cocoa, dried berries, faint earthy bitterness and toffee. Medium bodied withaverage carbonation. Decent balance in the finish, some Belgian yeast, more wheat bread, earthy bitterness, toasted sugars, leathery berries. Overall, quite a bit of fun. Sound.

Draft at BeerAttraction 2018, in Rimini, Italy. Pours a curious reddish brown with limited cappuccino-color foam, fine. Aroma is delicate wood and hazelnut. Body is average with good carbonation. Taste is moderately sweet, with some bitterness in the finish.
