Fruit, fruit en nog eens fruit! Deze IPA is licht moutig en bevat veel fruitige smaken uit de hop. Denk aan grapefruit, tropische vruchten, meloen, papaya en limoen.
Naam
That beer is Super DuPA! De naam verwijst naar de uitdrukking super duper, oftewel uitmuntend! Bovendien staat DuPA voor Dutch Pale Ale. Jopen brengt oude bierstijlen tot leven met nieuwe en innovatieve recepten. Dit bier is daar een mooi voorbeeld van. We hebben meerdere brouwgranen gebruikt, net als de historische Haarlemse brouwerijen 700 jaar geleden. Een Dutch Pale Ale is een Pale Ale met meer dan alleen gerstemout en een hoger alcoholpercentage dan de oude Engelse Pale Ales. Ten slotte hebben we Amerikaanse hop toegevoegd waardoor dit bier het profiel heeft van een moderne IPA.

ABV: 5.5%. Cloudy medium yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, sweet malt, moderate hoppy, fruity hops, marmalade hops. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long to average duration, pale malt, sweet malt, fruity hops, marmalade hops. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20190925]

0,33 l bottle, thanks Igor Doggy, Crni and Vran for sharing. Slightly older. Hazy golden, small off-white head. Light hops, fruity, not much of a tropical character left, some herbs, malts take overe the rest. Malts, cardboard flavour, dry finish. Light to medium body, moderate carbonation, dry finish.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ van Rooij, Culemborg. Clear light amber with a white head. Melon aroma with some light pine and tropical fruits. Bitter-sweet taste. Light bodied with some malts. Very classic IPA.

On tap @Jabeerwocky in Warsaw. Clear golden with a good persistent foam. Nose: malty, melon, yellow fruit and a bit tropical. Mouth: quite sweet malty overall, clean body with low-medium carbo, peppery/sparkling finish. Solid

Draught @ Fox & Hounds, Sønderborg, Øllets Day 2019. Pours hazy straw with stable white head. Clear aroma of hops and citrus, with notes of yeast. Bitter flavour of hops and citrus, with estery notes and mild maly touches. Bitter, grassy and estery aftertaste. Well-balanced, nice and clean. A super ass, indeed ;-)
