A friendship born from the shared love of Beer, Fine Art and Craftmanship – every year Brewmaster Oliver Wesseloh and Artist Jörg Heikhaus aka Alex Diamond combine their passion and create a unique beer.
The second Artist Edition is a spiced Triple as complex and double-edged as the Love-or-Death Voodoo Charm in C.W. Stoneking’s song that inspired the Artwork.
This beer, loaded with herbs and spices that are said to be aphrodisiac, greets with the pleasant sweetness of the tonka-sugar and turns to the unique, herbal bitterness of the wormwood.

330ml bottle [#1873/2500]. Cloudy, dark amber colour, lots of tiny chunks floating around, small, frothy, fading, white head on top. Sweet-ish, malty and yeasty fruity aroma with slight muesli touch, hints of oat flakes, berries, dried fruit, aniseed, whiffs of liquorice, vermouth, juniper berry. Taste is sweet-ish, malty, spicy and slightly fruity, lots of aniseed, some cinnamon, some dried fruit, berries, a herbal touch of vermouth, juniper berry, botanicals; minimally warming, alcoholic finish. Slightly oily texture, smooth and soft, slightly cloying palate, fine and soft carbonation. Nice composition, harmonious and balanced, developes quite some complexity - nice sipper remains interesting til to the the last dram.

Smooth mild beginning. Easy to drink with an intense dry bitterness. Intense herbal bitterness, very interesting. Like Underberg in a beer. Intense herbal bitterness in the end.

Bottle Nr. 0878/2500 from their Lagerverkauf a few weeks ago. Unclear amber in the glass, small head. Sweet malty and belgian yeast on the nose, little bit herbal. Taste starts with a surprising strong herb bitterness, malty bedding. Alcoholic. Sugar sweetness in the background. Long lasting bitterness. No easy drinker.
