Draught at Alles Elbe. Weak vinous aroma. Almost black colour. Seems cloudy. Good stable creamy light brown head. The flavour is papery, slightly vinous, slightly roasted. Not great to begin with, but turns creamy with a nice enough cocoa powder note.

Bottle: Nearly black, smaller persistent tanned head, distinctive sourish-fruity traces in the moderate dryish roasty nose; moderate bitter-sweet flavour including a delicate acidity, pretty light bodied, not overly soft; bitter-sweet fruity-toasty finish with an increasing but mild acidity in the aftertaste. Sigh, drinkable...

330ml bottle. Jet black colour with small, thick, creamy, diminishing, sulphureous, dark beige head. Roasty, dark malty aroma, hints of dark chocolate, toasted if not burnt rye bread, some pumpernickel. Taste is slightly bitter, roasty dark malty, diluted hints of dark chocolate, a touch of pumpernickel and treacle, rusty, metallic overtones with a touch of iron and blood. Thin and watery trunk line, nice creamy sideway.

16-01-19 // taster at Gesundbrewing 2019 at The Castle Friedrichshain. Unfortunately some diacetyl. A creamy smooth and roasted coffee forward stout. Roast malt bitterness. Minimal sourish in the end.
