Zipline Brewing Co.’s Copper Alt. is a unique ale/lager hybrid. This bronzed brew is unfiltered, and designed to be extremely drinkable, with subtle nuances of chocolate and hazelnut. A late gift of Sterling hops in this brew leaves a little hoppiness for your palate to ponder before the next sip.

From a bottle at the RB DC tasting September 6. Pours hazy brown with an ecru head. Malty nose. Nutty flavors. Smooth finish.

Bottle courtesy of HuskerTan, many thanks! Clear amber color, tan head. Aroma of lightly toasted caramel and subtle black pepper. Taste is peppery scotched caramel with a helping of nuts. Decent.

Bottle thanks to TheHoff43. Pours clear copper, medium tan head, dissipates fairly quickly leaving nice residual and decent lacing. Aroma is nutty, bready, bocky. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter, some grassy notes, toasted caramel, dark breads and nuttiness, a bit of acidity, faintest notes of smoke. Medium body, medium carbonation. Interesting.

Bottle 330ml. [ As Zipline Copper Alt ].Clear medium amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, nutty, malty, light bread. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet, light light acidic and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, nutty, tobacco, caramel, bread, tart fruit - berry notes. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20140517]
