Ursprünglich war das Zwicklbier nur dem Braumeister vorbehalten, der, in früherer Zeit, das Holzfass kurz angestochen hat, um das reifende Bier zu verkosten und das Fass dann mit einem Holzzwickl wieder zu verschließen.
Das Zwicklbier wird unmittelbar nach dem Nachgärungsprozess abgefüllt und überzeugt mit seinem von relativ wenig Kohlensäure geprägten, fülligen Körper

Bottle picked up from brewery, Aldersbach consumed at home Sunday 4th June 2023 June 2023, it's stunning weather today and we had a lovely day yesterday with Christian, Josef and Valerie after an afternoon at the new house, Manghlam 17, Innernzell. We're cooking One-Pan Baked Chicken and Tomato Biryani and listening to HiFi Sean and David McAlmont - Happy Ending. Pours clear gold with a white head, looks great. The usual Helles characteristic are on show here but there is a more muted maltiness an a slightly enhanced dryness, some light bitterness, a little citrus, it's a nice beer.

Danke an Mark. Smooth mild grainy, slightly sweetish. Refreshing mild soft with a soft bitter finish.

Könnte für ein Zwickl-/Kellerbier ruhig etwas trüber sein. Getreidig / herb / floral, leicht fruchtige und medium hopfige Note. Guter Geschmack, gute Substanz. Allerdings zu viel Kohlensäure. Ruiniert leider etwas den Gesamteindruck.

Bottle. Blonde. Soft floral notes in the shy aroma. Malty bready, floral, citric flavor. Well balanced. Drinkable.

330ml bottle. Minimally milky, orangey, pale golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Minimally bready, biscuity-spicy, malty aroma, a touch of protein. Taste is minimally sweet, biscuity and bready malty, a touch of malt spiciness, hints of protein, fruity hoppy hints of apricot and mandarine. Nice.
