Thick creamy beige head stayed on a near black, finely carbonated body. Minimal aroma of dark fruit & malt. Medium bodied, smooth & sharp on the back. Dry. Dark bitter berries, sugar, cream, malt, dark spirits & a hoppy undercurrent.

Appearance- very dark brown, slight ruby tinge, a small beige head which fades quickly. Aroma- coffee, dark fruits, milk chocolate, toffee. Taste- chocolate, bitter coffee, dark fruit traces, caramel malt, chocolate fudge. Full and quite thick mouthfeel, chewy finish. Very good.

Classic American porter, bittersweet with a hefty chocolate core surrounded by mild cherry-raisin notes and a roasty, modest bitterness on the finish. Creamy texture and lovely mocha nose make it way too easy to kill the pint. Good beer.

19.04.2014, 0,35l bottle @ Monk’s American Bar:
Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet roasted, puffed rice, roasted grain, dark sugar, roasted coffee, chocolate, caramel, hay, grass, lactose. Taste is slightly sweet watery, roasted grain, hay, cardboard, puffed rice, coffee, grass, sugar, caramel. Medium bitterness, slightly dry watery mouthfeel. Meh! Expected a lot more from this one...

Pours brown with a frothy off white head. Aroma is chocolate, roasted coffee, with dank notes, like old cheese. Taste is bittersweet, with notes of chocolate. Light fruity undertones, but the chocolate stays dominant. Body stays to the lighter side of medium. Good.

0,3l bottle at home bought from Beergium. BB 06/04/2017. black color, medium big tan head. smells of tomatoes, spices, licorice, tobacco, nutty, bit milky, decent overall. medium body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of licorice, nutty, hazelnuts, bit earthy, light caramel, some roast, tobacco, light cardboard. finishes lightly roasty with notes of hazelnuts, earth and some tobacco. overall ok beer but tastes quite boring / a bit oldish, seems like Beergium got some old beers. I had another one (Obsidian) which tasted even worse. Overall still drinkable, but do not care much about it.
