19.04.2014, 0,35l bottle @ Monk’s American Bar:
Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet roasted, puffed rice, roasted grain, dark sugar, roasted coffee, chocolate, caramel, hay, grass, lactose. Taste is slightly sweet watery, roasted grain, hay, cardboard, puffed rice, coffee, grass, sugar, caramel. Medium bitterness, slightly dry watery mouthfeel. Meh! Expected a lot more from this one...

Pours brown with a frothy off white head. Aroma is chocolate, roasted coffee, with dank notes, like old cheese. Taste is bittersweet, with notes of chocolate. Light fruity undertones, but the chocolate stays dominant. Body stays to the lighter side of medium. Good.

0,3l bottle at home bought from Beergium. BB 06/04/2017. black color, medium big tan head. smells of tomatoes, spices, licorice, tobacco, nutty, bit milky, decent overall. medium body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of licorice, nutty, hazelnuts, bit earthy, light caramel, some roast, tobacco, light cardboard. finishes lightly roasty with notes of hazelnuts, earth and some tobacco. overall ok beer but tastes quite boring / a bit oldish, seems like Beergium got some old beers. I had another one (Obsidian) which tasted even worse. Overall still drinkable, but do not care much about it.

Bottle, BB 04.06.17 (from beergium). Pours black with beige head. The head stays for some moments. Aroma is fruits, malt, roast. Flavor is sweet and bitter, roast, fruits, sugar, malt, chocolate. licorice. Feels creamy - very nice mouthfeel. Overall: good, but bit sugary (would like less sugar, more dryness).

From a 355ml bottle on 1/3/2017. Pours a dark brown with little in the way of head. The nose is light chocolate and some vanilla. Flavour wise, there’s lots of sweet chocolate, some nuttiness, and a mild, slightly roasty bitterness. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Pleasant enough without being particularly inspiring.

Bottle from Val-U. Pours a deep, coffee colored brown/black with a small head that dissipates quickly. Baker’s chocolate, coffee & faint vinous aromas. Smooth with some light fruit and dark chocolate. A touch of smoked cacao in the finish. Nice stuff.

Tap. Brown color with tan head. Aroma is chocolate, earthy, nutty. Taste is chocolate, nutty, earthy, a bit roasted. Silky mouthfeel, medium carbonation, with a peanuts aftertaste. Nice Porter, it?s a little bit too light-bodied.
