Draught at the 2008 Best Beer Selection, Osaka. Very clean, with a clear, grainy Rye character. Very good hops as well, making this quite different from your average Rye beer. Not at all like a wheat beer, and very complex and interesting. Decent pale ale-like style; hoppy and fruity, plus something extra. Rye is not nearly as prominent in the bottle version. --- Beer merged from original tick of Rye Ale on 10 Sep 2008 at 20:47 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 8. Small head on this light copper beer. Malty aroma, sweet, and a little corn. Flavor is a bit thin, some rye, malts, and a little sweet. Thick body. Not bad, but I was expecting more.

Light amber color. Sweet malty nose. Sharp rype nose hits the back of the throat. Light flavor, but rye for sure. A bit too one dimesional to really go anywhere special.
