Europian Amber Ale

Bottled. Clear dark amber, creamy head. Floral yellow plum aroma. Medium bodied and lightly caramelly. Salty and fruity with chewy rounded mouthfeel. Low bitterbess. More an Amirican amber with a Japanise twist than anything Europian.

Draught at Beer Cafe Barley in Nishinomiya. Supposed to be in the English tradition, but with aroma hopping. Definitely good hops, bitterish and dry, although with a Belgian yeast flavor as well. Earthy, a bit like a biere de garde or Belgian amber, but with some English characteristics as well. Dark brick red with a heavy head. Fresh fruit aroma, citrus, light berries, malty, and some hops. Flavor is full of biscuit malts, light fruit, some crisp hops, floral. Nice amber, though the flavor was a bit lacking, I thought.

Very dark amber color, peaches and apricots in the nose with a touch of toffee. Malty start and then hops hit the back of the throat with floral and honey flavors. Moderately bitter finish. Despite being a "Europian Amber" someone could mistake it for an - "Amercian Amber".
