Pours a deep red-copper color. A special batch of Inis & Gunn beer was brewed and matured in oak for 60 days; 30 days in American oak barrels, and 30 days in navy rum barrels. It was then matured 47 more days for a full marriage of flavors.

NOTE: Rum Aged, Rum Finish & Oak Aged Rum Finish are the same beer as Rum Cask. They are an alias for different export markets with a tweaked process.

Innis & Gunn: "They are the same beer, the process changed slightly so we changed the name. But the recipe is the same.

Bottle from Tesco, drunk at home. Labelled as ’Rum Finish’ and at 6.8%. Uninspiring colour of middle-of-the-road brown. Not much carb and no head. I get spiced rum, figs, and caramel on the aroma. Taste is sweet, mellow and warming. You know this is a strong beer, but the alcohol doesn’t jar. Carbonation and alcohol combine on the lips for a lovely palate. A tasty and well-balanced offering from Innis and Gunn.

Producción trasladó a Wellpark - fecha desconocida .

Delikatny aromat wanilli, rumu i coca-coli. Troche dziwne wrazenia zapachowe ale bardzo delikatne i subtelne, piana srednia i znika blyskawicznie. W smaku troche rumu, karmelu i czekolady. Finisz to rozgrzewajacy rumowy alkohol. Oczekiwalem troche wiecej po tym piwie. 2 poprzednie z tego browaru byly dla mnie smaczniejsze.

Pours a tawny copper brown color with faint garnet at the edges, smallish off white head slowly dissipates before leaving spotty lace on the way down. Aromas of toffee, brown sugar and molasses make up the bulk of the nose. Light spice, earth, and dark fruit round out the nose. Little to no hop aroma. The flavor follows the aroma, sweet sugary malt beverage with light fruit and rum beep in the background. Little to no hop bitterness or flavor. Medium to thick body with a light to moderate level of carbonation and a sweet almost syrupy mouthfeel. Like the last one, there is nothing "wrong" with this beer, it is just really boring, and a bit too sweet for my tastes.

You know those times when you are sipping a classic Scottish Ale and you start thinking about how great it would be if your beer tasted like a rail rum and flat soda? Me neither. Amber-toffee brown body, thin beige head. The barrel tones simply dominate, but there are some massive caramel tones as well. Some spicy notes that make me think of Wassail or Xmas Ale. Not really that enjoyable.

Flaska från Systembolaget. Klar mörkt kopparfärgad vätska med lågt avslaget skum. Doft av härsket fett och godis. Smak av tuggumi, typ Bugg. Mjuk munkänsla. Kort eftersmak.

330ml bottle@home. Mahogany body with some particles and a big light beige head. Sweet notes of vanilla and caramel, wood, bacon and ham to the nose. The taste is also quite sweet and also here vanilla is what first comes to mind, then cola, brown sugar, wood, pepper and prunes. I actually think it’s a tad too sweet and I also have to admit, I’m not a big rum lover...

Aroma is quite sweet with some caramel. Flavour is sweet but not overpowering. Slight rum taste. Slight dryness. Quite well balanced.
