4/6/2018. Cask at the Voodoo Mexican Cafe Bar, Darlington. Pours almost black with a creamy off-white to beige head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, liquorice, roasted malt, wood and a rich fruit cake edge. Moderate sweetness, medium plus bitterness. Medium body, slick texture, very soft to flat carbonation. Roasted bitter finish. Decent brew.

Cask at 2017 Darlington CAMRA beer festival at the Forum. Dark brown-black colour, tan foam head lwaving alittle lacing and chocolatey roast malt & coffee aroma. Taste is roasted malt, smokey, chocoleate & coffee, lactic hint ad earthy bitterness. Fairly thin mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry roasty bitter finish. Quite drinkable.
