500ml bottle. Yellow golden colour, white foam head that quickly dissipates away and aroma of tangy apple & light funk. Taste is fruity apple, bittersweet, citric, with a little apple skin and drying tannins. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, dry tannic finish. Quite drinkable.

Keg at the brewery tap. Light yellow, clear. Generously carbonated. Slight apple smell amid lemon drops and candy sugar. Taste, while similar to a commercial cider, has a hint of that proper cider back-of-the-throat ’tang’. Clean short finish. Decent cider that won’t knock your socks off but makes a change from the cask ales which are ubiquitous in Oakham.
