Bottle at the Ipswich winter bottle share. Source CentrAle, Newcastle. Pours dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma of blackcurrant, chocolate, caramel and dark fruits. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, slightly watery texture, average carbonation.

500ml bottle from Bowes Christmas Market stall. Pours black in colour with a beige foam head leaving some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee & chocolate, liquorice. Taste is malt, roasted, liqourice, dark fruits, chocolate and coffee, with some bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry roast earthy bitter finish. Quite drinkable.
