Bottle shared at home. Black with medium tan head. Big deep roasted chocolate malts, coffee, vanilla, pecan, blueberry, ash. Big sweet and moderate bitter. Over medium body, soft carbonation. Nice roasty business. (4.1)

Charred oak, butter, coffee, vanilla, and molasses nose. Black, viscous, thin brown head. Charred oak, charcoal, coffee finish. Medium body easy carbonation. Very dry and roasty, a bit too much so.

Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours dark brown with a super-transient tan head. Aroma suggests Kopi Luwak. Full bodied. Flavor is far from dry super nice coffee and a deal of treacle. Vanilla trails along. Itβs very, very tasty ale.

Bottle shared. Very dark brown pour with a tall tan head with good retention. Notes of burnt caramel, coffee, vanilla, dark chocolate and subtle roasted malts, plus some hops. The medium-to-high level of carbonation makes this beer feel quite fresh. Another great dessert stout from Omnipollo. --- Beer merged from original tick of Selassie on 21 Jan 2017 at 22:41 - Score: 8

22 ounce bottle into snifter; no bottle dating, but is a recent release. Pours dense pitch black oil color with a 2 finger dense and rocky dark brown head with amazing retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts that whole glass. Thick soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Insane appearance. Aromas of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, molasses, vanilla, cream, caramel, toffee, and toasted dark bread; with lighter notes of licorice, raisin, fig, plum, cherry, date, smoke, charcoal, wood, and roast/toast/smokey earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt, coffee/vanilla, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of huge dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, molasses, vanilla, cream, caramel, toffee, toasted dark bread, and nuttiness; with lighter notes of licorice, raisin, fig, plum, cherry, date, smoke, charcoal, wood, and roast/toast/smokey earthiness. Light-moderate roast/char and herbal/spicy/light piney bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, molasses, vanilla, cream, caramel, toffee, toasted dark bread, nuttiness, licorice, dark fruit, smoke, charcoal, wood, and roast/toast/smokey earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, coffee/vanilla, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; with an awesome roasted bitter/sweet balance; zero cloying sweetness or acrid/astringent roast character after the finish. Slight dryness from roast/char/hop bitterness, lightly increasing through the glass. Light-medium carbonation and very full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky, and lightly slick/sticky/chalky balanced mouthfeel that is awesome. Alcohol is extremely well hidden, minimal warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is an insane coffee/vanilla imperial stout! All around incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, coffee/vanilla, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to sip on for the huge ABV. Intensely rich, lush, and complex all around. A highly amazing offering.
