Belgian Stout in the Irish style: light, dry, and freshly bitter with complex roasted notes. The scent is pleasantly fragranced by the presence of an English aromatic hop particularly appreciated by connoisseurs.

bottiglia 33 cl, non mi ha salvato la recensione completa ma nel complesso avrei preteso qualcosa di più per questa birra. Riproverò. 13.08.18

23 April 2018. At Spontane Goesting, Itterbeek. Shared with Anke.
Pours cloudy black with a collapsing, frothy, bubbly, tan head. The aroma contains roasted malt, coffee roast, figs, herbs & tea leaves, pepper, barley, yeast, nuts, brown bread. It tastes medium roasted bitter and light malty sweet, but nutty and 'beefy' umami. Dry, toasty, barley-like and herbal hop finish. Medium body, slick/watery texture, fizzy carbonation. Very drinkable Stout, albeit thinnish on the tongue.

Bottle at home. Near black with a big thick tan head. Aroma of dark chocolate, licorice, light coffee, fruity hop notes, roast and caramel. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

330ml bottle. Pour is almost black with a nice creamy light tan/beige head, decent retention. Aroma: toasted malts and dark fruit, bit of smoke. Taste: dark fruits, toasted malt, hint of smoke but I think that’s more in the aroma, light chocolatey. Finish is dry, bitter. Fairly light body for a stout, drinkable though, well done.
