De Tripel van Westmalle is een helder, goudgeel trappistenbier van 9,5°. Het langzame brouwproces en de nagisting op fles leveren een complex bier op, met een fruitige geur van rijpe banaan en een mooie, genuanceerde hopneus. De zachte en romige smaak, met een bittere toets gedragen door het fruitaroma, heeft veel finesse en elegantie. Geniet ook na van de heerlijk lange en droge afdronk.

light yellow gold color with a big sudsy white head that has lacing and good retention. The aroma is grains, breads and white fruits. The taste is spicy and pleasantly bitter with lingering apples and pears. The palate is full and viscous with prickly carbonation. Overall: Noice. Late note--Lees at the bottle bottom are really quite tasty too.

Bière 33 cl. Robe blonde claire et très belle mousse abondante et onctueuse. Nez sur la levure belge, le malt, typique des triples. Bouche ronde, épicée, sur le clou de girofle. Pas ma trappiste favorite mais très réussie quand même. (M)

Bit of a blind spot rate for me, never rated this. 33cl bottle pours a translucent dark gold, tons of frothy white head. Nose has candy, pineapple, clove, perfume, flowers. Flavor has white pepper, candy, very estery, pineapple schnapps, honey, flowers. Nose hints at some roughness, flavor hints at some roughness... then the finish is so damn smooth. There is some estery character that lingers, some honey sweetness too but its full bodied and lightly sweet and lightly creamy and way easy to drink think.

0.33 l bottle from Vrutak, Zagreb. Shared with little Dina. Hazy golden, small lasting off-white head. Aroma is spicy, yeasty, doughy and fruity. Candy, citrus, mint. Bubblegum. Malty. Grainy flavour, spicy phenolic, alcohol obvious. Turns to a sweet malty and fruity combo. Ripe apricot or apple, nice estery. Finally, the finish comes out herbal bitter. Finishes dry. Strong and warming but quite soft. Medium body, moderate carbonation.

Bottle online from Beerhouseshop.be. Pours a hazy light golden colour with a huge white throthy white head. Light aromas of yellow fruits, yeast and spice. Taste is fruity, yeasty with lots of peppery spice and a lasting spicy bitterness. Medium body with a smooth creamy mouthfeel. Very nice tripel.

Bomber, poured hazy light golden with tall thick white head. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel. Yeasty dried fruit aroma. Very spicy, yeasty taste with bitter spicy finish.
