De Tripel van Westmalle is een helder, goudgeel trappistenbier van 9,5°. Het langzame brouwproces en de nagisting op fles leveren een complex bier op, met een fruitige geur van rijpe banaan en een mooie, genuanceerde hopneus. De zachte en romige smaak, met een bittere toets gedragen door het fruitaroma, heeft veel finesse en elegantie. Geniet ook na van de heerlijk lange en droge afdronk.

Shared bottle at home. Pours hazy golden with big white head. Aroma of peaches, bananas, pepper, some malty notes. Tastes slightly sweet with quite some bitterness, coming also from phenols. Medium bodied, highly carbonated, dry mouthfeel. Bitter finish.

Złota barwa, piana gęsta, utrzymująca się dłuższą chwilę. W aromacie przyjemnie owocowo. wyczuwalne dojrzałe brzoskwinie do tego dochodzę nuty przyprawowe. W smaku również owocowo, przyjemna pełność. Goryczka na niskim poziomie. Alkohol delikatnie rozgrzewa przełyk. Ale jak dla mnie typowo degustacyjne piwo.

Re-rated, based on checklist, old score: 6/3/6/4/14=3,3 Smell - medium strong, caramel, malt, yeast. Foam - thin to medium thick, soft, huge , some little bitterness, head is large, creamy white color. Appearance - unique bottlecap, light yellow to orange hazy, some small carbonation. Taste - sweet, yeast, malt, some bitter notes, banana, caramel, Belgian notes, better than expected to be honest. Aftertaste is malt, yeast, caramel, sweetness, belgian, and some faint bitter notes. Good.

Bottle from Pioneer market. I had drunk this one many times but I realized that I have never rated it properly; so here goes: Pours cloudy golden with large foamy off-white head, mild earthy-fruity aroma, high carbonation, medium bitter earthy taste with mild grassy hops, dried fruits in the background, well balanced body, long sweetish finish. Very balanced and satisfying to drink.

Aus der Flasche (bottled 11.06.2018 / bbe 11.06.2020) im Mezzanine in Leuven/Belgien 2018-08 getrunken. Diese Tripel ist da es noch sehr jung war sehr hopfenbetohnt - leider etwas zu hopfenbetohnt. Besonders der hefige Charakter macht macht mir Spaß.

Butelka. Barwa pomarańczowa, spore zmętnienie, piana drobnopęcherzykowa, bardzo obfita, trwała. Aromat słodowo-brzoskwiniowy, z lekkim muśnięciem ziołowości (pieprz), i bardzo wyraźnym alkoholem, wręcz rozpuszczalnikiem. W smaku zaskakująco słodkie, z wysoką, nieprzyjemną goryczką wzmacnianą przez, po raz kolejny bardzo wyraźny, alkohol. Wysycenie stylowo wysokie. To nie jest piwo dla mnie.
