Toffee, mochachinno, dark fruit, mildly sweet. Rounded. Beautiful. A bit tart, toffee, coffee, rich, but not heavy. Very malty. Rounded. Smooth. Lingering cherries and mochachinno finish.

Nice creamy texture, coats the mouth well. Flavours of coffee and milk chocolate although they fade away somewhat. Overall a nice balance of the sweetness and the soft bitter malts.

Pours near black with a beige head. Lightly roasted malty aroma with caramel and light chocolate. the flavor has lightly roasted malts, toasted grains, and a light chocolate sweetness. Not bad.

Tap. Pours clear deep reddish brown with a medium creamy tan head with great staying power and good lacing. Aroma is coffee, roasted malt and a bit of chocolate. Flavor is of coffee, medium sweet with a lightly bitter finish. Body is a bit watery and low carbonation.

From November 2008: Brown 355ml bottle obtained from Utobeer in Borough Market, London. One in a mixed bag of Colorado beers I picked up some time ago (in exchange for a lot of money). Thanks ColoradoBobs for your help in choosing the beers. Dark black colour with a light tan head, the beer had a red hue at the edges when offered to the light. I used my Westmalle Chalice to drink from. The taste and aroma came across like this. Choose one or all of these, Toasted malts, Roasted coffee, Burnt caramel. Mix them up and leave your favourite, that is what I found anyway. Sweet at first, it became a more like a bitter dark chocolate bar towards the end of the taste. Strange one this, not rich or really creamy as a true Milk Stout should be. An OK beer, but missing something in its style.

12oz bottle poured into a snifter. Pours black with about a finger of dark tan head. Aroma of coffee and chocolate. Taste is about the same, but more chocolate than coffee. Full bodied with a very creamy texture. Lively carbonation and a long creamy finish. Overall, I’m liking this one. I wish it was still around my area so I could grab more.

12 ounce bottle into signature pint glass, bottled 2/15/2012. Pours clear very dark reddish brown color with a nice 2 finger fairly dense tan head with great retention that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Some nice spotty lacing on the glass. Aromas of chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, caramel, cream, vanilla, and a touch of herbal hops. Nice and well balanced aromas, with good strength. Taste of chocolate, coffee, caramel, molasses, cream, vanilla, roasted malt, biscuit, and light herbal hops. Light herbal bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of chocolate, caramel, coffee, and vanilla on the finish for a bit. Very nice flavor balance and not cloyingly sweet at all. Quite robust feeling as well. Medium carbonation and body; with a very nice creamy and slightly slick mouthfeel. Alcohol is well hidden with only a slight warming after the finish present. Overall this is a damn nice and well rounded milk stout. Nice balance of flavors; and very smooth and enjoyable to drink.

On tap at Taco Mac. Pours black with a large, frothy, off-white head. The aroma is coffee, malted milk, and a little smoke. The flavor is very sweet. The palate is heavy, creamy and smooth. Overall, this is a tasty and drinkable stout.
