Milk sugar in your stout is like cream in your coffee. Just enough sweetness to keep the dark roast in check. Rich and robust, our classic Milk Stout exhibits notes of dark chocolate, freshly brewed coffee, caramelized sugar and roasted malt.

12 oz. bottle. Poured a black beer with minimal tan head. Aroma is sweet and slightly toasty. Flavour is moderate malty, dense on palate, toasted malts are present, and with chocolate with milk hints. Carbonation is soft. Body is medium. Texture is oily.

12 oz bottle purchased at MDL in Overland Park, Kansas as a single. Pour is a black brown, with some ruby when held to the light. A one inch light khaki head builds up on the pour, than falls with a rocky appearance. The aroma is lightly vanilla sweet, cream, and some roast malt. Mostly soft vanilla cream. The taste is sweet malt, vanilla and the sugar and cream. The roast is present, mostly in the back and finish. Palate is medium to light bodied, full creamy carbonation and a dry mineral finish. After taste has a hint of ash to it as well. Overall, easy drinking, though a touch on the sweet side for my tastes.

Nitro bottle @ home. Black appearance with a creamy, light brown head. Roasty dark chocolate malty, dark espresso, cocoa, vanilla, milky aroma. Light, creamy mouth feel. Fairly roasty, a touch burnt chocolate malty, dark coffee, rich cocoa, vanilla flavor with a milk finish. Super easy drinking- I love it! ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff

Nitro in a bottle w/o a widget - not sure how they did it, but they did not pull off the nitro completely - a vigorous pour looks nice at first, but the head sinks to a small lace pretty fast - still a nice looking beer, but not an authentic nitro pour (bottle 2 - figured out the pour - if you hold the bottle vertically over the glass you get an awesome nitro pour - looks great) - however, nitpicking aside, this is a solid brew - nose is caramelized sugar, charred malts, light anise, chocolate and coffee - fairly creamy in the mouth - fairly sweet up front, but this is tempered by moderate bitterness from the dark malt - bittersweet chocolate, roast, char - lingering caramelized sugars - fairly quaffable for the abv - a tad sweet, but this is a winner

Bottle from santa - one of the few "milk stouts" I’ve had that I would actually describe as "milky" in mouthfeel and taste - mellow chocolate sweetness, some roasty notes, and a hint of tartness in the back to keep it from getting overly sweet - not too bad.

Bottle. Sweet and creamy, with chocolate, caramel, cafe au lait. Thick and nicely rich, but very drinkable. Slightly roasted in the finish. Nice stuff.
