En väldigt lätt stout. Mörk men inte ogenomträngligt svart till färgen. Smaken är maltig, men åt det sötsyrliga hållet, liten beska och förvånansvärt lite humlad för att vara från USA. Snare typiskt britisk. Hade i ett blindtest nog gissat på någon brown ale. En trevlig öl. Drucken igen på Nya Tröls.

Clear dark brown to purplish beer, very small beige head, unstable and non adhesive. Aroma: very fruity, cherries, dark red fruits, bit dirty yeast, dairy (cheese or yoghurt), milk chocolate, bit earthy and some tobacco. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: mocha, caramel, red fruits, some hops. Aftertaste: mocha and coffee.

Little cloudy dark brown beer, pretty solid beige head, bit stable, adhesive. Aroma: mocha, nutty, very dark caramel, dark chocolate. MF: soft to no carbon, light to medium body, fatty milk texture. Taste: milk chocolate, bit fruity, caramel, some alcohol, bit watery, nutty. Aftertaste: milk chocolate, bit of orange juice, mocha.

Bottle from Bierzwerg. Originally rated on 16.4.2010. Slightly unbalanced stout. Sweet, milky notes. Could’ve used some more body. Great chocolatey aroma.

355ml bottle. Pours opaque black with some head but this falls away quickly. The nose has burnt dark chocolate with a hint of coffee. The taste has dark chocolate, some coffee and then cream. The palate has a big structure and texture and the finish just falls away gently like a good stout does. Overall. I like it.

Pours black with a light brown beige head that disappears rather quickly. Caramel in the smell. Not really good taste in my opinion. Low carbo.

Draft at Left Hand. Opaque black. Sweet and rich, really spot on. Rich lactic chocolate tones. Smooth cocoa milkshake, with just a hint of a dark fruit pungency. Thick, sticky, big, but no rough alcohol burn. Well done.

Kaffeeartig karamelliger Antrunk, vollmundig. Ausgeglichen süß-herb, die Süße überwiegt hierbei zum Mittelteil hin. Die füllige Malzigkeit weißt hierbei auch säuerliche Noten auf, die sich aber recht gut einfügen und nur im Nachgeschmack etwas über die Stränge schlagen. Ansonsten konsequent tiefmalzig, etwas nach Bitterschokolade, blumig. Insgesamt nur wenig würzig. 11/10/11/10/9/10
